OPENING NIGHT FILM - FRIDAY 26th MAY - 7:30PM

THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW (1975)

Rated M. Running time: 1hr 40min.   Tickets $25. Doors open 6:30pm.
Themed Night! Dress to impress - Brad & Janet, Frank-N-Furter, or Eddie, Rocky or Riff Raff - come ready to do the Time Warp and sing-a-long! Complementary drink arrival, canapes and a photo wall - heaps of fun to be had!

Brad Majors (Barry Bostwick) and Janet Weiss (Susan Sarandon) are a wholesome couple, fresh out of college and newly engaged to be married. One night while out driving in a rain storm, they get a flat tire. A visit to a nearby castle leads to an overnight stay, where they are guests to a group of unconventional conventioneers, led by a transsexual named Dr Frank-N-Furter (Tim Curry). Before long they learn of nefarious plans involving a (very hunky) frankenstein-like creation and outer space. Rocky Horror is a classic, a brilliantly written comedy that’s an homage to horror, sci-fi, 50s drive-in and biker flicks, infused with the mid-70’s gender-bending of glam rock and the fetish sexuality of punk.

It’s not compulsory to dress up but we certainly encourage it - it really adds to the fun! Dip into the wardrobe of your imagination and surprise us with your creation.

I'M NOT THERE (2007)

Rated M. Running time: 2hr 15min. Bar operating. Doors open 2:00pm.

Six incarnations of Bob Dylan: an actor, a folk singer, an electrified troubadour, Rimbaud, Billy the Kid, and Woody Guthrie. Put Dylan's music behind their adventures, soliloquies, interviews, marriage, and infidelity. Recreate 1960s documentaries in black and white. Put each at a crossroads, the artist becoming someone else. Jack, the son of Ramblin' Jack Elliott, finds Jesus; handsome Robbie falls in love then abandons Claire. Woody, a lad escaped from foster care, hobos the U.S. singing; Billy awakes in a valley threatened by a six-lane highway; Rimbaud talks. Jude, booed at Newport when he goes electric, fences with reporters, pundits, and fans. He won't be classified.
