WORKSHOP INFORMATION 

SOLD OUT ART YOU CAN WEAR: FABRIC COLLAGE
Presented by Anni Simmons. Create your very own piece of wearable art that can be used as a shawl, wrap or scarf. Participants will need to bring their own sewing machine. Suitable for 16 years +
Workshop: Saturday 22 August, 10am - 4pm. $50 per person, including all materials, morning and afternoon tea.

SUNBIRD BRAIDS
Presented by Fran McFadzen. Learn the Japanese art of Kumihim. Workshop kit includes disk, cord, beads and glue and makes up to four bracelets.
Workshops: Saturday 10 – 12noon, 1pm – 4pm, Sunday 10am – 12noon. Cost $25 per person. Maximum 8 students

PRINTMAKING
Presented by Yvonne Moloney-Law. Learn how to emboss and engrave PVC printmaking plates with a variety of materials and found objects. Participants will receive an A4 size printing plate which they will emboss and engrave and print onto quality printmaking paper using a steel bed Intaglio Press. Suitable for 15 years +
Workshop: Saturday 10am - 12noon. Cost $10 per person. Maximum 8 students.

BEAD MAKING: WORKING WITH HOT GLASS
Presented by Joy Swindells. Learn the ancient art of lampwork and make a glass bead using a blowtorch and rods of coloured glass.
Workshop: Sunday 10am – 4pm. Cost $10. Bookings preferred but drop-ins welcome if availability permits.

MONO PRINTED GRATEFUL JOURNAL
Presented by Peta Lloyd. Using leaves, lace, string and stencils you will mono print gelatin plates. A variety of papers will be used, such as rice paper, pre used envelopes, tea dyed papers, manila folders, music sheet paper etc. Finally combine your prints to create your Grateful Journal using simple five pamphlet stitch.
Workshop: Sunday 10am – 12 noon. Cost $10 per person. Maximum 12 people per session.

RUSTED INKED CONCERTINA BOOK - FROM THE LAND TO THE SEA
Presented by Peta Lloyd. Learn the techniques of staining papers using a variety of staining liquids, including rusting. We will use a range of mark making tools to produce marks representing land and sea. Finally creating a varied concertina book form using the rusted and stained pages.
Workshop: Sunday 10am – 12 noon. Cost $10 per person. Maximum 12 people per session.

TIE DYE
Presented by Mary Casey.
Workshop: Sunday 2-4pm. Cost $10 per person. Maximum 10 people per session.

MAKE YOUR OWN KITE & COLOUR IT
Presented by The Kiteman. Come along to make and colour your own kite. Kite kits available from $2 small kites, $7 large kites.
Saturday & Sunday 10am  - 4pm. Drop-ins welcome.

FREESTYLE PERCUSSION
Presented by Facets Music Performing Arts Studio. Use body parts, plastic bottles and bits of furniture to create amazing sounds and music.
Workshops: Saturday & Sunday 10am  - 11:30am. FREE. Bookings preferred but drop-ins welcome.

BELLY DANCING
Presented by Sha’Waza Dance Troupe. Learn the "Tribal Twirl" - a tribal inspired belly dance fusing elements of ancient and modern circle dancing with just "a flick of the hip. Or try the "Rompi Rompi", a fantastic Romani (Gypsy) Fusion Folk Dance using traditional gestures and foot patterns typical Turkish Rom dancing. In other words "Get your Gypsy on!".
Workshops: Saturday 2 - 4pm "Rompi Rompi" , Sunday 2pm  - 4pm "Tribal Twirl". FREE. Bookings preferred but drop-ins welcome.

GALLERY FLOOR WALK
Presented by SpruikerHire. Join Desley Cowley as she takes you around The Mill Gallery guided tour of the Art to Wear exhibition.
Walks: Saturday & Sunday 11am and 2pm. FREE. Bookings preferred but drop-ins welcome.
